Some personal news
Everything old is new again. And by old, I mean me.
I’m returning to the Ukiah Daily Journal as Deputy Editor. This is the newsroom where I got my start in 2015, when I was hired as the chief photographer. I learned a lot in that job, and it set the direction for the work I’ve done ever since. Coming back feels steady and familiar, and I’m glad to be part of the team again.
I’ll still be managing the Fort Bragg Advocate-News and Mendocino Beacon. Both papers will stay part of my daily work. We’ve also hired a full-time reporter for the coast, which will help keep coverage strong and consistent for those communities. My role now is to support all three papers and help keep the news flow moving each week.
This isn’t a big shift. It’s more of an expansion of the work I’m already doing. My focus remains on clear reporting, local stories, and serving the region the best way I can. More updates soon.
